Perfect for those looking to build raised beds & garden features, as part of our extensive range of timber products we, in recent years, introduced a superior UC4 version of our previously stocked softwood sleepers. This treatment is far more effective in protecting against rot than other treatments.

When fixing sleepers together it’s worth considering using our timber-fast screws (also available in tubs). We also stock landscape pegs which can be very useful for helping secure the sleepers in position.

What does UC4 mean?

UC4 is a class of treatment used in the timber industry. The process involves kiln drying the timber down to around 28% moisture content before treatment, allowing it the penetrate deep into the wood. Without this intense kiln drying the timber will contain a lot of moisture which prevents as much treatment getting into the material.
