What is the difference between our lap and closeboard fence panels?
Closeboard fence panels are the heavier duty panel. Manufactured from tanalised pressure treated feather edge running vertically. The feather edge is nailed to pressure treated backing rails and counter rails.
Lap panels are an economical panel manufactured from slats which run horizontally across the panel. These slats are nailed in place with fencing batten front and rear, and sandwiched along the top and sides, finished on top with capping rail allowing water run off. Finally dipped into tanks of brown treatment.
Which posts should I use for closeboard fence panels?
Both designs of panel are suitable for use with timber and slotted concrete fence posts. If you are using timber posts with closeboard panels it is advisable to use 100mm x 100mm (4"x 4") posts.
