Pressure Treated Posts 125 x 75mm – Pointed Ends

Description

This 125 x 75mm fence post is most often used when installing a post and rail fence, along with 88 x 38mm rails. They have pointed ends, allowing them to be driven into the ground rather than digging and concreting them in. Please note though that this can only be done using heavy machinery, such as a tractor mounted post rammer. If you don’t have the means to access this type of machinery then the 5 x 3 posts with black ends should be used, and fixed into pre-dug holes using post mix.

This fence post is available either pressure treated, or treated to UC4 specification.

Common imperial reference  – 5×3 inches

What is UC4 Specification?

This essentially means that the timber is kiln dried down to around 28% moisture content before the pressure treatment process. The drying process will allow the timber to soak in far more of the treatment than normal. This will protect the timber against rotting in the ground, for even longer.
