STIHL HSA45 Cordless Hedge Trimmer

The HSA45 from Stihl is part of the cordless domestic range of garden machinery which is proving to be a fantastic addition to the Stihl cordless range. Battery powered machinery is becoming more and more popular with some customers prefering to take advantage of the environmental benefits, including noise levels as well as the cost of running and ease of use compared to petrol machinery. The battery technology iself is going from strength to strength in terms of performance and longevity and charge times etc. This hedge trimmer is very lightweight at only 2.3kg, compact and manageable, but also offers excellent performance for the domestic user and at a fair price. The trimmer comes complete with a 20 inch blade (50cm) approx and a 24mm tooth spacing for trimming annual growth on hedges and a blade tip protector. The battery itself is integrated into the machine, meaning there is no need to remove the battery to charge it up, to do so simply plug the charger lead (supplied) into the charging point on the machine and plug into a normal mains socket. The charge level indicator will let you know exactly what level of charge the battery is at at any given point in time. To help prevent blades sticking and to keep the hedge trimmer blades in good working order it is recommended that a small application of resin solvent is applied after each use and then run the machine for a few moments to coat the entire surface of the blades and disolve any sap or resin that has accumulated during the cutting process.
