These Redwood Fence posts have been treated to UC4 specification, meaning the treatment should enable the post to have a much longer life in the ground than inferior versions. For anyone looking for an upgraded version of our softwood treated fence posts, without switching to concrete posts, these UC4 fence posts are the perfect solution.

WHAT IS UC4 TREATMENT?

These 4 x 4 Fence Posts are cut from redwood. Before the pressure treatment begins, the timber is kiln dried to around 28% moisture content (or even below). This allows the treatment to penetrate deep down to the heartwood. Because they are treated in this way the posts have a 15 year expected service life. Although this is by no means a guarantee, it does give a bit more peace of mind that choosing these posts, above a normal softwood treated fence post, for a fraction more money will be a very worthwhile investment.

Fence  Post 100 x 100 – Which Fence Panels Are They Suitable For?

The 100mm x 100mm fence post is especially recommended when installing closeboard panels, as they are heavy and robust. They can also be used for hanging lap panels, although in most cases a 75 x 75mm fence post will be adequate for lap.
