Description
The STIHL RM448VC packs in a range of fantastic features which make it powerful, effective and comfortable to use. It has an 18” (46cm) cutter and is great for mowing lawns up to 1200m² in size. The mower housing is made from a lightweight yet robust polymer. Emptying the grass box has never been easier thanks to the mono-comfort handlebar, which as well as being height adjustable and easy to fold, will allow easy access to remove and re-attach the grass catcher. The vario-speed drive, easy start and powerful OHV engine make this a great choice of lawnmower. The cutting height can be adjusted to 6 different settings using the centralised adjustment system, all operated by one simple lever. As an optional extra the RM448VC can also be converted into a mulching mower using a mulching kit (available to order – please contact us).
The RM 448 VC comes with a 5-year extended domestic warranty (subject to registration and annual servicing).

Easy start engine (ReadyStart)

Self-propelled
A huge amount of the effort required to mow a lawn is taken away thanks to the drive mechanism propelling the mower forward without the need for the user to push the machine along. This is useful when mowing larger lawns or on inclines.
Vario self-drive
The RM448 VC is not only self-propelled, but the speed of the propulsion can be fully controlled and tailored to your own desired speed. The speed can be infinitely varied using the simple lever on the handlebar.
Highlift blade
The specially designed high-lift blade creates a super strong current of air within the housing, meaning the grass is forced to stand upright before being cut leading to a precise finish. The clipping are then pulled through into the grass box via the powerful air flow system.
Fold-open grass catcher box with level indicator
The folding mechanism means the grass box can be easily opened and emptied. The powerful current of air blows the clippings into the box quickly and efficiently, ensuring a high degree of filling. Dirt is prevented from being thrown up because of downward facing vanes which guide the air sideways towards the ground. When the box needs emptying the level indicator will signal this.
Smooth running wheels
The wheels on all STIHL mowers are robust and hard wearing as well as having great traction.
Carrying handles
The integrated carrying handle makes moving and carrying the mower a much easier task. It also gives a point to tether the machine to during transportation.
Mono-comfort handlebar
The foldable mono-comfort handlebar provides for easy handling during mowing and removal of the grass catcher box. Moreover, the STIHL lawn mower can be stored and transported in a space-saving manner. The handlebar can be adapted to your body height without using tools and ensures ergonomic working.
Polymer housing
The housing is made from a lightweight yet robust polymer, and is resistant against force, heat and UV.
Central cutting height adjustment
The spring loaded cutting height adjustment makes is really easy to set the desired height, which is indicated by a scale.
